How to SSH to Linux VPS

1 Introduction

SSH is a cryptographic network protocol for operating network services securely over an unsecured network.  In this tutorial we use the SSH tool Putty.exe to show how to SSH to a Linux VPS.

2 Open the Putty.exe

3 Enter the VPS IP (Host Name (or IP address)), then Click

4 Click on Yes

5 Enter Username and Password

User name:   administrator (for Ubuntu) or root (for other Linux distributions)
